10 > ChildM

Kullervo, Kullervo, warrior-born,

From his mother's breast he was torn.

Doomed to go wandering all forlorn,

Kullervo, Kullervo, made to mourn.

20 > ChildF

Kullervo, Kullervo, swaddled in lies,

Raised to a life of groans and cries,

Took to his task with sorrowing sighs,

Kullervo, Kullervo, death was your prize.

30 > ChildM

Kullervo, Kullervo, sworn to the sword,

Sweated and slaved for the head of the horde,

Bruised and bludgeoned and scarred and gored,

Kullervo, Kullervo, warrior's ward.

40 > ChildF

Kullervo, Kullervo, far he strayed.

Lips to the steel he blessed and prayed,

Whispered promises that boy made!

Kullervo, Kullervo, friend to the blade.

50 > ChildM

Kullervo, Kullervo, ragged and thin,

Tracked back the path so steeped in sin,

All the way back where it did begin,

Kullervo, Kullervo, sought for his kin.

60 > ChildF

Kullervo, Kullervo, burdens he bore,

Many the woes and horrors he saw!

Tyrants and conquerors ravaging the poor,

Kullervo, Kullervo, witness to war.

70 > ChildM

Kullervo, Kullervo, stranger to mirth,

Spoke with the ragged who toiled in the earth,

Learned of the truth of the days of his birth,

Kullervo, Kullervo, what was he worth?

80 > ChildF

Kullervo, Kullervo, stood all alone

Over the graves of the ones he'd known.

Homestead warmth turned to ashes and bone,

Kullervo, Kullervo, cold as a stone.

90 > ChildM

Kullervo, Kullervo, broke like a flood,

Ripped and he ravaged with a slash-slice-thud!

Many lay headless, armless, in the mud,

Kullervo, Kullervo, bathed in blood.

100 > ChildF

Kullervo, Kullervo, long did he weep,

In his own breast his sword drove deep.

Down to the dark and a merciful sleep,

Kullervo, Kullervo, your secrets we keep.

Did you hear? Kullervo's Hold can be sighted just off the mainland! The place is steeped in anger, sorrow, and fear, so you only need to wait for one of our King's darker moods.

My archives note that the island was first formed when a ball of fire descended from the sky! It bored a hole straight through the ground, and from the tainted debris, a dungeon spontaneously arose, complete with Warden to berate its sole prisoner, the Warframe Kullervo, for his many crimes.

KullCrimes

10 > Warden

You, Kullervo, thought an Executor's favor was a thing to be stolen and worn. You spilled precious Orokin blood - before seeking the Executor out for approval. Hated Kullervo, did you truly believe he could love you? You are, forevermore, a low murderer.

20 > Warden

You witnessed the slaughter as the Orokin eradicated your defective, demented brothers and sisters... and did nothing to aid them, choosing to tremble in your cowardly seclusion. A traitor twice over. Kullervo, bloody-handed, I charge you with Cowardice.

30 > Warden

The Archimedean Ainikki, your... 'mother'... lived. And you, like the vermin you are, scurried after her. In butchering the Dax whom the Executors charged with taking you into just custody, you - laughably - managed to kill the very woman you came to rescue. The third charge: Flight From Just Custody.

40 > Warden

Upon the arrival of the wretched Tenno, you struck. Out of, what, a desire for redemption? You thought to strike the Orokin where it hurt: their laboratories, their edifices of government, their homes. To distract. To buy time. Idiot. You are charged with Treason.

50 > Warden

You saw the new generation of your kind, and the Tenno whose deviltry blent with theirs; and you began to whisper corruption into their ears, weave dark thoughts through the coils of their minds. Incepting, as is your wont, chaos, and disaster. You are charged with Espionage.

60 > Warden

The Night of the Naga Drums. Your incepted chaos... bloomed... and the beautiful gilded Empire... fell. Were you entirely responsible? Of course not. You are, after all, a fool. But one need not be entirely responsible for the murder of an empire to be punished for their role in it. And punished you shall be. For a second count of Treason.

70 > Warden

As the Empire burned, you found the one Executor you coveted and despised most. You presumed to raise your foul hand against him. One of the Seven. But he did not die so readily as you had hoped. Thus I lay upon your wretched head your ultimate crime: Attempted Regicide. And with it your punishment, and the Executor's eternal vengeance.

20 > Acrithis

A dungeon island is all well and good, but what happens if there's a prison break?

30 > Acrithis

Kullervo appears to hail from that bizarre land that I am convinced lies beyond the Zariman. A violent and cold place that our captive must have been in a hurry to escape.

40 > Acrithis

Kullervo did not arrive empty-handed. No, it seems he brought with him the burdensome weight of a guilty conscience.

50 > Acrithis

When Kullervo escapes, no one seems to be safe, save the children. They calm him. Perhaps that's why so many of them are drawn to the island.

60 > Acrithis

I'd steer clear of Kullervo's Hold if I were you. It is no safe place, no matter how tantalizing the details of Kullervo's crimes may seem.

70 > Acrithis

That Warden is a repugnant, self-righteous man, speaking as though he too came from beyond the Zariman, but deep down both he and I are well aware, he is of Duviri. Of the Void. We know our own.

80 > Acrithis

From the mainland, I use my looking glass to spy on Kullervo's Hold. Have you noticed the children? What draws them there, I wonder? What redeeming value do they see in that terrible place?

90 > Acrithis

Have you been to Kullervo's Hold yet? You should not go, it is far too perilous… But if you do… Tell me everything. Promise?

100 > Acrithis

Have you noticed that Kullervo's Hold only comes into view when the king is overcome with fear, anger, or sorrow?

80 > Warden

Do not block my light.

90 > Warden

Do not eye me so venomously. I do not know you.

100 > Warden

What are you? Beggar, lunatic, or monarch clad in rags? Ugh. Trouble me not, chimera.

110 > Warden

Children. Idiot children who clap and cheer. What is he to them?

120 > Warden

Is the wretch howling again?

130 > Warden

How our ungrateful creations spurn us, once they have taken all they can.

140 > Warden

Every day he suffers afresh. And so, my purpose is fulfilled. Happy am I.

SwordGirl

110 > ChildF

Vaenn belongs to Kullervo! I'm hiding it from The Warden. You have to promise not to tell anyone, okay?

120 > ChildF

I hear Vaenn whisper sometimes.

130 > ChildF

Don't worry, Vaenn. They're just passing by.

140 > ChildF

The Warden will never find us. Not all the way down here.

WardenProcs

150 > Warden

Again and again, Kullervo revealed the slaughter-drunk beast he was. Again and again, I locked him away.

160 > Warden

Kullervo. His mother, Ainikki named him well. Cursed from the moment of his creation.

170 > Warden

Rage until you burst, Kullervo. You shall never taste freedom again.

180 > Warden

Society produces filth. We do not rehabilitate it. We hide it away, to stink and fester out of the sight of decent folk.

190 > Warden

You crave the sun, Kullervo. But the sun is mine. Squat in your dull stone prison and sob.

200 > Warden

The fool sought oblivion. As if I could not pursue him wherever he went! I, his conscience. His jailer.

210 > Warden

See where he rots. The mother-killer. The betrayer. The ingrate.

220 > Warden

You cannot improve a criminal nature. You may as well be sculpting angels out of dung.

230 > Warden

The brats are at their chanting. Were the King himself not a child, I would have them all hung.

240 > Warden

Do not pity the beast! He knows what he did. He cannot forget. That is the nail I force back into his skull every day.

250 > Warden

You cannot deny your sin, Kullervo. For I am your guilt. The form and voice of your greatest persecutor.

WardenConvoPrompt

260 > Warden

I keep him locked up here for his own safety, and that of all Duviri. Care to find out why?

270 > Warden

The prisoner seems to think you and he have unfinished business. Shall I let him out so that you can conclude it?

WardenConvoDeclined

280 > Warden

A wise decision.

290 > Warden

I didn't think so.

WardenConvoChosen

311 > Warden

He's waiting for you, Drifter.

312 > Warden

Kullervo is right down there. Or are you having second thoughts?

KullFightSpawn

320 > Warden

The beast is loose. Intent once again on mindless slaughter. Put it down, that both the innocent and the dead may sleep peacefully.

330 > Warden

Kullervo ravages Duviri once again. Extinguish his spirit as I once did.

KullFightStageOne

340 > Warden

Now, fool Kullervo, for your crimes do you feel the lash.

350 > Warden

No escape, Kullervo. My reach is long, my grip inescapable.

KullFightStageTwo

360 > Warden

He feels your wrath, Drifter. Yes. Continue. Tame his.

370 > Warden

Each time you rise, betrayer, fool, each time it is I who shall cast you down.

KullFightStageThree

380 > Warden

This now-tired spectacle no longer delights mine eyes. End this, castspaw.

390 > Warden

Just one more defeat amongst countless, Kullervo. When oh when shall you learn this most obvious of lessons and remain low?

KullFightDefeat

400 > Warden

Execute the brute! Don't spar with him, you worthless collaborator! Fool. You gave him precisely what he wanted. Dignity.

410 > Warden

Kullervo… Kneeling? What did this Drifter do to deserve your respect? Do you think you've won? Well? Answer me! AN-SWER MEEE!

MoodIntroKullervo

600 > Luscinia

Duviri has changed. You may have your freedom, but a new prisoner has come amongst us. A tormented soul. This dark day is his as much as mine.

610 > Luscinia

Kullervo a being imprisoned and tortured by the guilt of his past. I too am condemned to a fate, Drifter. But together we may lighten the burdens of others.

Trinket

620 > Bombastine

A consignment of fine trinkets, waylaid and rudely pitched into the caverns below? Some hapless merchant's loss is my gain! Drifter, if you please?

620 > Lodun

I'm sure that simpering homonculus thought scattering my royal effects would put a stop to my ambitions. Oh no. Not when I have you to find them for me.

620 > Luscinia

Are we to leave the treasures of the past mouldering where they fell? No. I pray you, gather them up.

620 > Mathila

We need to keep things where they belong! And is a mucky, nasty cave any place for precious items? It assuredly is not!

620 > Sythel

What kind of idiot robs a tomb? I saw them. Taking the grave-goods into a cave. Fetch them back. Before the dead... get... upset.

630 > Bombastine

The indulgence of desire occasionally demands a frenzied scrimmage in the dirt. I covet certain gewgawgs. Fetch them.

630 > Lodun

His Majesty' doesn't like the caves. 'His Majesty' is afraid of the dark. Weakling. Go and find me the treasures he's too gutless to claim.

630 > Luscinia

A family robbed, their belongings taken underground and divided. If you could retrieve what little was left... it might ease their pain.

630 > Mathila

Some sentimental old items of mine have turned up in one of the caves. Would you be a dear and gather them? I'm not quite up for it.

630 > Sythel

Pretty trinkets. Underground. What if children go down there looking for them? What if something... bad... happens? There, in the dark? Get those trinkets!

KullervoFight

640 > Lodun

They fear this berzerking... 'Kullervo'. Hm. Calm him... calm him and ensure that idiot Warden does not kill him. I would make use of this Kullervo... at a future time of my choosing.

640 > Luscinia

Kullervo is a kindred spirit. He rages with a bitter fury I cannot sing back to sleep. Only a warrior's challenge will do that. Grant him the tranquility I have been denied.

640 > Sythel

I'm too scared to give Kullervo what he truly needs, so he can rest. The challenge of an equal! Oh, but you, you're strong. You can do it.

650 > Lodun

Like knows like. This Kullervo has more spirit than any lickspittle calling itself a Dax. But it will destroy him, if not tamped, measured. Provide his righteous rage the dignity it deserves, in martial combat.

650 > Luscinia

The tormented Kullervo deserves to be known. To know peace. Give him back his dignity and free him from the Warden's savage cruelty.

650 > Sythel

The Warden cages Kullervo, pokes at him, stokes his rage. Putting us all in danger. Give Kullervo what he needs. The honor of a fair fight.
